My birthday!

Yesterday is my 36th birthday. Yeeey! My husband and children wake me up in the morning with kisses. And I have lot's of birthday wishes from my friends....lovely! At the end of the day.....my husband and my children bring me a tiramisu cake with candle to blow. But a little bad thing happen when my little boy accidentally swallow something and stuck on his neck and luckily he can throw it out.... It's been a great journey for me and thanks to God for giving me so many blessing in my life and to many people,who involve in my life that shape me the way I am now.

Sewing school

I've been sewing for 2 years,and now I'm searching for some sewing course or sewing school that have a flexible time.
But then I found out that is not easy to find a short course like that in Jakarta.Most of them are having a very strict time schedule and it's impossible for a working mom like me.
So I keep on searching for the right courses.I hope I can find it soon and I will posting it when I find the right one.

Mommy and me

I really want to wear the same outfit with my daughter,can't find it anywhere so I decided to make a pair with this beautiful fabric. really like the results and so the little one. I'm using a pattern from Japanese magazine Mrs Style for my tunic and a Japanese pattern book for children for the little one dress. I also make one for my baby but it was too small for her to wear it now ; )

Necklace

I have these beads for sometime and forget about it and found it at my fabric stash.Usually I don't wear an ethnic accessories,but I'm keeping this one for myself.I'm using an ethnic clasp to match the beads.

Simple tutorial for making a bow

A simple tutorial how to make double bow.I use this bow for my rossy dress.You can see this dress at this link : http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/rossy-dress.
First, cut a rectangle 4,5 inches x 5,5 inches and then fold it.Use a 1/2 inch for seam

.

Stitch the top of the fabric and left an opening around 1 inches.



Stitch side of the bow and put the opening in the middle.



Turn the inside out and press.




Hand stitch right in the middle



Make two of this,then hand stitch these two bows together add some beads



and voila...you have a beautiful bow

Summary of my sewing project

I had been start sewing since the end of 2008.During those years I have found a great passion in sewing clothes for me and my girls and also some bags.I really love sewing.Hopefully this year I will able to sew more things and upload some tutorial.

Our prayer for Japan

When I heard about earthquake in Japan,I was in my office busy with all stuff. And then I heard about the tsunami in the radio and quickly search for the news and find out if my friends in Japan are all OK.
Thank God they all OK but then I saw the horrible video when the water raising and swept away everything.I feel so sad.....and I prayer to God for everyone that passed away and those who lost everything because of this disaster.
